Ever since we can remember, we would always make Μαρτη (March) bracelets with our mom for all of our friends and family. This year, we are bringing the same tradition to you!
It’s tradition in Greece to tie this bracelet on your wrist the first day of March to celebrate the the start of spring. The red symbolizes the rosy cheeks kissed by the spring sun, life and passion; as the white signifies purity.
When the month ends, it is customary to remove the bracelet, tie it to a branch in hopes that a bird will come and build a nest for the spring.
